All living beings are precious and should be given the opportunity to thrive. Certain animals possess distinct characteristics and may necessitate additional attention. Nevertheless, their individual needs shouldn’t hinder their growth. Fortunately, numerous compassionate individuals are committed to guaranteeing that every creature receives the support necessary for survival.
The story of this dog is truly heartwarming. This furry friend suffered from abuse that caused severe injuries to her legs and almost resulted in her being euthanized. Thankfully, Marina Gapich and Alla Leonkina, who found the dog last December in Plastunovskaya, decided to take her in and give her a chance at life. Despite the advice of specialists who recommended putting the dog down, these caring volunteers refused to give up on her. Instead, they looked for alternative solutions to help the dog regain her balance. After much effort and determination, the dog was given a special gift that allowed her to walk again. Monika, as she is known, now lives under the loving care of Marina and Alla. They are proud to have been able to save her life and provide her with a second chance. The story of Monika’s rescue is an inspiration to all animal lovers and serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion and kindness towards animals in need.
Sergei Gorshkov, a veterinary specialist in prosthetics, has recently been discovered. A fundraising of around 400,000 Russian rubles (which is equivalent to $5,400) was conducted by rescuers to aid Moika in acquiring new legs. Despite having no experience in making prosthetic legs for canines, Gorshkov agreed to the task and utilized titanium coated with biologically engineered material from Tomsk Polytechnic University to create the legs.
After the creation of the legs, Moika underwent surgery for the installation of her replacement limbs. Initially, there were concerns among everyone about whether the canine could adjust to her new prosthetic legs.
Monika pleasantly surprised everyone by swiftly adapting to her new paws. Sergei initially found the situation hopeless, but by the third day, she was already up and about, exploring the facility and moving from room to room. The veterinarian was delighted to have saved the animal’s life, and this serves as a testament to how miracles transpire when people do not abandon animals in need. The dog’s life was on the brink of ending, but with the rescue volunteers’ unwavering efforts and the veterinary expert’s skills, the canine survived. Witnessing the joy that this experience has brought forth is worth all the time, money, and effort invested.
